Munster Juvenile Indoor Pentathlon Championship

The Munster Juvenile Indoor Pentathlon Championship was held last Sunday in Nenagh, Co.Tipperary.

Well done to our Juvenile athletes Moya Yelverton, Abby Yelverton, Aofie Grimes, Lucy Greenslade and Aaron O’connor for their fantastic performance especially to Alan Gladysz who came 2nd in the 15 year old boys pentathlon event which consisted of 60 hurdles, Shot putt, high jump, long jump and the 800m.

12 year old girls pentathlon (60m, shot putt, long jump, 600m)

Moya Yelverton (16th place)

13 year old girls pentathlon (60 hurdles, shot putt, high jump, long jump, 800m)

Abby Yelverton (4th place)

14 year old girls pentathlon (60 hurdles, shot putt, high jump, long jump, 800m)

Lucy Greenslade (14th place)

16 year old boys pentathlon (60 hurdles, shot putt, high jump, long jump, 800m)

Aaron O’connor (4th place)

Juvenile “B” Results

Well done to all our Juvenile athletes who traveled over to the Munster Juvenile “B” & Intermediate X Country Championships today in Turnpike, Two Mile Borris, Co. Tipperary.

Ciara Mccarthy got the gold medal in the U9 girls.

Emma Robertson got the bronze medal in the U11 girls race, Emma also got sliver along with Aimee Whelan in the U11 Girls County team, Rhona O’Malley also participated in the event, she came 49th out of 101 athletes.

Harry Ferte and Odran Mc Guinness came 25th and 34th out of 111 athletes in the U11 Boys.

Olivia Mccarthy and Lily Reid came 14th and 43rd out of 90 athletes in the U13 Girls.

Evan Boland was 4th out of 68 athletes in the U13 Boys.

Alan Gladysz was 10th out of 38 athletes in the U15 Boys.

Munster Intermediate X Country

in Cross Country Results, Latest News by Mark Guerin

In the final Cross Country race of the year, The Munster Intermediate Championship, The Limerick AC men’s team finished 2nd overall. Paul Fitzgerald lead the way followed by Tom Shanahan, Liam Lynch and Mike Lynch. Limerick also finished 2nd county with John Kinsella, Sean Quirke (both Bilboa AC) and Niall O’Riordan (An Bru AC) contributing with the lads to the Limerick County Team. Well done all.

Also, thanks to the LAC support crew today in Two-Mile Borris, Co Tipperary: Keith Ryan and Mark Guerin.

U12 Girls National XC

Well done to Sarah O’Halloran who represented the Munster team in the U12 Girls National X Country in Abbotstown last Sunday. She was placed 82nd out of 178th juveniles who participated in the event. Well done Sarah!! 👍
