In the final Cross Country race of the year, The Munster Intermediate Championship, The Limerick AC men’s team finished 2nd overall. Paul Fitzgerald lead the way followed by Tom Shanahan, Liam Lynch and Mike Lynch. Limerick also finished 2nd county with John Kinsella, Sean Quirke (both Bilboa AC) and Niall O’Riordan (An Bru AC) contributing with the lads to the Limerick County Team. Well done all.

Also, thanks to the LAC support crew today in Two-Mile Borris, Co Tipperary: Keith Ryan and Mark Guerin.

U12 Girls National XC

Well done to Sarah O’Halloran who represented the Munster team in the U12 Girls National X Country in Abbotstown last Sunday. She was placed 82nd out of 178th juveniles who participated in the event. Well done Sarah!! 👍

National Senior XC

In the national senior cross country championship, held today in Abbotstown, Martin Doody finished 73rd out of 166. Martin was the sole Limerick County representative at the senior men’s race. Well done Martin

Munster Masters XC

Fantastic running from Martin Doody yesterday at the Munster Masters Cross Country, Martin finished 2nd overall and was the 1st O40 in a very competitive field. The LAC masters team, lead home by Martin, finished 3rd overall to capture the bronze. Team: Martin Doody, Derek Kiely, Liam lynch & Mike Lynch. Martin, Derek and Liam also made it in the County team which they got sliver, Well done all

Munster Juvenile Uneven Age, U/20 and Senior Cross Country Championships

The Munster Juvenile Uneven Age, U/20 & Senior Cross Country Championships was held at Sunday in Conna, Co.Cork.
Well done to our LAC athletes who traveled over there to compete against all athletes from different clubs around the Province of Munster.

Darragh Whelan got Sliver in the U9 boys.

Aimee Whelan came 37th out of 185 athletes competing in the U11 Girls.

Harry Ferte, Odran McGuiness and Luke Cahalane ran the U11 Boys. Harry came in 17th, Odran – 52nd and Luke – 127th out of 165 athletes.

Sarah O’Halloran came in 44th out of 127th in the U13 Girls race.

Alan Gladys came in 42nd out of 64 athletes in the U15 Boys.

Martin Doody and Paul Fitzgerald ran the Senior race, Martin came in 12th and Paul came in 29th out of 53 seniors who participated in the race.
