ALANA FRATTOROLI took home bronze in the SHOT PUTT with a great throw of 12.62m.

CONGRATULATIONS ALANA!!

With such a high calibre of elite athletes competing this weekend at  The GloHealth Indoor athletics Championship, it was a tough  challenge for our 4 athletes representing Limerick AC to hold their nerves in Athlone competing against the best of the best of Irish senior athletes with some athletes having Rio on their minds and others in preparation for the outdoor season.

Roland Pika took on the 60m with a time of 7.71 and the 200m.

Gossy Mangidi Ngonda also took on the 60m with a time of 7.72 and the 200m.

John Mc Callion finishing 4th in his 800m heat.

Limerick AC would like thank coach Dave Frattoroli who has been there for Alana in her special moments in athletics . Long may this duo continue!

Another 2 days of competition at the Munster Indoor Championships at Nenagh for Limerick AC athletes.

It was nice to see that the hunger was still there after a long wait for some athletes to taste competition again.

Congratulations to Joe Spratt and Sean Harris who both took home medals.

Joe took the Silver Medal in the Triple Jump with a jump of 10:69m.

Sean took the bronze medal in the High Jump with a jump of 2.65m.

Under 13’s:

Darragh Murphy : 60m/Lj.

Saoirse Fitzgerald :600m.

Under 14’s:

Ciara Grimes:800m/Shot.

Under 15’s:

Makayla Ryan-Wade :800m.

Under 17’s:

Christian O’ Connell :60m/Lj/200m.

Under 18’s:

Sean Harris :High Jump

Under 19’s:

Joseph Spratt :Triple Jump

After the Munster relays a few weeks ago our young athletes were eager to get back to Nenagh to take on another 2 days of competitions with great enthusiasm.

A special mention goes to Luke Calitz and Abby Yelverton -Luke took home 2 bronze medals for his efforts in the long jump and 60m and Abby who received the silver medal for the long jump only 0.01cm short of taking gold!

Orlaith,Rosie,Ciara,Roise and Matthew who used their efforts in training to make it through to the final of their events with ever improving results.

Well done to all our athletes who came away gaining more experience and knowledge in preparation for their next big event.
