Due to the Great Limerick Kids Run taking place in UL next Saturday May 2nd, the track and pitches will be closed for training all day.

Therefore training is cancelled on Saturday May 2nd 2015.

Limerick AC athletes competed at a number of events over the last three weeks.  A couple of snippets from the sports days. 

Roland Pika had a fantastic day the National U23 Track & Field championships 2015 today in CIT- Roland was 4th in the Long Jump 6.16m and 6th in the 100m 11.85 – well done Roland from all at Limerick AC

Ennis Track AC open day 2015 was a huge success for Limerick AC top athletes in the sunshine today
There was gold medal for one our newest athletes in the club Christian O Connell in Javelin. Gold medals also for Sarah Hosey in 500m, Gold for Laura Hession in 800m, Silver for Caoimhe Ryan in 800m, silver for Hannah Hartnett in 100m and Bronze for Aoife Mangan in 100m & bronze for Christian O Connell in Long jump – well done everyone (more results expected later). Congrats to Joseph Spratt & Sean Harris who had a super day at the v well organised Thomond Games 2015 in UL today – good job Roisin & Team in UL

Joseph had two silver medals in the Long Jump & Triple Jump jumping 6m & 11.33 respectively giving him new PBs. Sean Harris was 1st in the High jump with a height of 1.50m not his personal best but enough to secure himself 1st today. Sean was also 3rd in the long Jump with a jump of 5.26 – well done from all at Limerick AC

The Athletics Limerick Track & Field Championships 2015 is on Sunday the 10th May at UL.  All athletes are requested to contact their respective coaches next week at the latest to confirm the events in which you are competing.

Afternoon session starts @ 2pm and is the reverse of above being boys for Track events with the exception of 800m which will be girls in the afternoon and all field events will be for girls.  Relays will be even ages Girls and odd ages Boys.

There will be no training at UL tomorrow due to the Thomond Games Track and Field Championships at the University of Limerick. Please contact your coach should you require additional information.

LAC will have a large cohort of athletes at the Ennis Track Open Day on Sunday April 26 at Lees Road in Ennis. This open day is extremely popular with our juvenile athletes of all levels and it is looking to be another fantastic day of sport for all.

In addition the Athletics Limerick Track & Field Championships 2015 is on Sunday the 10th May at UL.  All athletes are requested to contact their respective coaches next week at the latest to confirm the events in which you are competing.
