Munster Juvenile Even Age, U23 and Novice X Cross Country Championships

Limerick AC along with Dooneen AC hosted The Munster Juvenile Even Age, U23 & Novice Cross Country Championships this year at the Limerick Racecourse in Patrickswell Co. Limerick last Sunday.

We wish to thank all stewards and club members who helped out and volunteered for the event, thanks to their efforts the event was a success. We also wish to congratulate to all of our Juvenile athletes, who traveled over there to the Munster X Country Championships to compete.

Congratulations to all LAC athletes who travelled to Bulgaden, Kilmallock on Sunday to compete in the Masters/Novice and uneven age X Country Championship.

1st place Ciara Mc Carthy.

U11 Girls
3rd Amiee Whelan, 6th Emma Robertson, 8th Aisling Murphy, 15th Moya Yelverton, 18th Sophie Mc Carthy, 22nd Megan Clifford, 26th Ava Murray, 30th Grace Horan. Amiee, Emma, Aisling and Moya came 2nd in the U11 Girls team event.

U13 Girls
3rd Sarah O’Halloran, 4th Olivia Mc Carthy, 5th Abby Yelverton, 6th Lily Reid, team came 1st in the U13 Girls team event.

U15 Girls
1st place Laura Southern

Limerick County X Country Even Age/Senior/Interimedate Championship

Fantastic performance to all our LAC athletes who competed in The Limerick County Even Age, Senior & Interimedate X Country Championship in Bilbao, Cappamore today.

Results: Even Age

Girls U10: Ciara Mc Carthey, Aideen Kinsella, Sophie Nolan & Emma Murphy finished in 3rd place for the U10 team event. Good performance to Faye Sheehan & Isabelle Horan.

Girls U12: Fantastic performance to Abbey Yelverton, Aofie Murphy & Sarah O’Halloran for claiming 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in the individual U12 race. They also won the team event along with Rosie Hickey.
Great effort to Emma Robertson, Orlaith Grimes, Derartu McDonnell, Sophie McCarthy, Moya Yelverton, Rhona O’Malley, Megan Clifford, Emily Shanahan & Grace Horan.

Boys U10: Oisin Jennings & John Farrell claimed 2nd & 3rd place in the individual U10 race, they also claimed 1st place in the team event thanks to Danny Coyne & Wictor Koseki. Well done to Jack Kinnane for competing in the race.

Boys U12: Well done to Evan Boland for winning the individual boys U12 race along with the team event thanks to Harry Ferte, Odran McGuiness & Robert Sheehan. Well done to Mark Kiely & Aidan Dillon for competing.

Boys U14: Well done to Alan Gladsz for claiming 2nd in the race.

Boys U16: Good performance to Sam Logan who came in 2nd place.

Senior Men: Great performance to Martin Doody who claimed 3rd place in the race, Martin also claimed victory in the Senior Men team event thanks to Mark Guerin, Paul Fitzgerald & Ian McQuate.

Interimedate Men: Ian McQuate claimed 3rd place in the Interimedate event, Ian also claimed 1st place in the team event thanks to Thomas Shanahan, Derek Kiely & Aaron Gallagher. Well done to Keith Daly & Liam Lynch for competing in the intermediate and Senior race.

Great Start for the X Country Season for our Club, we hope to see you all again for the next X Country Event in Killmallock.

Limerick County X Country Relay

Limerick AC hosted the Limerick County X Country Relay event this morning in University of Limerick, the relay consisted of 4 x 500m, the weather was dull and had a few mild showers but that didn’t stop the juveniles for having a great time at the event.

Dooneen AC came in with strong teams which made the LAC juveniles more competitive than ever to compete and achieved great results.
Well done to both Limerick and Dooneen juveniles for their effort.
